Ok, ok...DISNEYLAND
YES! We went to Disneyland! We love that place soooooo much!
Jim had a conference at the Disneyland Hotel so Friday after school, we drove down and met him there. We spent the evening hangin' in Downtown Disney, then swimming in the pool.
The next morning we were up and at the Disneyland gates at 7:50am, ready to go in....over three hours later, we get in.
---There was a 'suspicious package'.---
We never found out if was really a bomb but they certainly had the whole dang bomb squad there, K9 units, etc. After being herded thru a side entrance of California Adventure, thru that park, to where the shuttles drop people off and then on to Harbor, we made our way back to the Disneyland Hotel, going the long way--around the parks, on surface streets--on foot. So by the time the parks opened, it was 11:20ish and the kids were exhausted already. But after lunch, they perked up again. It was a bit of a rough start but it ended well and we had a blast. (no pun intended) ;)
