Every year, Marcia comes down at the beginning of December to take the kids Christmas shopping for each of our family members. Marcia grabs one kiddo and spends half a day with them, shopping and then wrapping presents. It's something she's done for about 5 years now and the kids look forward to it each year. They start asking at the beginning of November when "Grandma is coming to take us shopping???" or if you're Lena, it was "When is Grandma coming to take me shopping for MY Christmas gifts?" =)
And every year when she is down for this event, we take to time find and purchase our Christmas Tree and then trim it that same evening. It is tradition: Christmas music & wassail while we trim the tree.
And here we are, trying to get a decent picture of the kids and the tree...
this is what we get.
Julia thought it would be HAA-LAR-IOUS to pull her
(low cut) pants up as far as they would go...
she got those things up soooo high. Errr...
